Audio and movement are the key components that drive Tell Me Something Something Something. The editing isn’t over-engineered; allowing for “moments” to emerge organically. All of the dancing was improvised, so any amount of cohesion or dissonance in the work was created by chance. The music is edited to loop back on itself and many of the clips are recycled throughout the composition. This repetition establishes the idea of building upon oneself, but also of reverie and looking into the past.
