MACRO is an experimental typeface that looks into the defining characteristics of a letterform. It asks, “How far can we zoom into a letter and have it still be recognizable?” In order to effectively play with the abstraction of the letter, the typeface is based on one of the most recognizable typefaces: Helvetica. Some of the letters were adjusted to retain their unique identities, but the characters primarily stay true to their original forms.
